bankruptcy of architecture

September 4, 2010

This year’s kamworkshops used a provocative title: ‘the bankruptcy of architecture’ to open up an extended field of theoretical and architectural investigations. While one could enter the field through the definition of bankruptcy trying to create new ideas and relations with other more familiar concepts, a different entry point proved to be quite rich in content. The visit to OTE’s building in Chania provided information on a vast telecommunication system that left spaces and equipment discredited when it retreated to smaller scales and digital environments.

Follow the investigations and the informations collected during this 10 day workshop here.
